Oh come on you know vegeta could have done with out that shit. vegeta has always only been one step behind goku. Gogeta couldn't reach SS4 if vegeta couldn't do it.

SSj4 on his own? i think not. if it wasn't for Bulma and the machine that uses the blutz(sp?) waves Vegeta could have never reaches the SSj4 stage ^_^

Well it is really not an assisted Super Saiyan 4 fusion because Vegeta completely gain his own Super Saiyan 4 on his own first. Goku and Vegeta use the Fusion dance to combine to become Gogeta(which they have done before). In a sense Gogeta is one complete different person. It just so happens that his powers are on a completely different level then Goku or Vegeta. So just because Gogeta's Super Saiyan 4 is over powering does not mean Gogeta reach a new level of Super Saiyan.
